[RECAP 18.5] A MEANINGFUL DAY OF TIGER FUNDING VIETNAM AT HOA MAI ORPHANAGE

The charity trip to Hoa Mai Orphanage in Long Thanh, Dong Nai was an emotional journey for Tiger Funding Vietnam Student Edition and the Mizuno brand.

Not far from Saigon, in Long Phuoc commune, Long Thanh, Dong Nai, lies a place where underprivileged children are raised with unconditional love—Hoa Mai Orphanage.

For over 20 years, this home has welcomed countless abandoned children, those with serious illnesses, or those with no one by their side. Here, mothers who may not have given birth to these children still love them as their own, quietly teaching, caring, and giving them the opportunity to go to school, to play, and to have a proper childhood.

Today, Tiger Funding Vietnam Student Edition had the chance to visit this loving place.

The charity event featured the participation of the Tigers and representatives from Mizuno. We brought small gifts such as clothes, slippers, candies, and food, hoping to contribute a little more to the children’s daily lives.

Notably, badminton rackets, shuttlecocks, and balls from Mizuno were gifted with the hope of encouraging the children to strengthen their physical health, nurture their future, and build confidence, energy, and connection through sports.

In another corner, the children had the chance to try their hands at painting with eco-friendly vegetable-based colors—an innovative, child-safe product developed by BINKS, a startup that once participated in Tiger Funding Vietnam. These natural colors not only created adorable paintings but also allowed the kids to freely play and express their creativity.

Perhaps the most memorable part wasn’t the material gifts, but the moments when the Tigers sat down with the children, holding paintbrushes to draw colorful, playful pictures. It was the badminton matches on the orphanage’s sports field, where the kids ran after the shuttlecock with radiant smiles. It was the moments of playing, hugging, storytelling, and laughter echoing across the small yard. There were no barriers between adults and children—only genuine connection from hearts that know how to share.

The trip ended, but the emotions remain. We came not just to give but also to receive: love, gratitude, and simple yet profound lessons in kindness.
