[RECAP 14.09] A RAFT, A THOUSAND DREAMS – A JOURNEY TO THE FLOATING SCHOOL IN TRI AN LAKE

Amidst the vast Tri An Lake (Dong Nai), a small floating school stands on a humble wooden raft. Here, children who grew up knowing only fishing nets and boats now, for the first time, hold a pen and write their first letters.

On September 14, Tiger Funding Vietnam and partners arrived at the Floating Compassion School – where Venerable Thich Chon Nguyen devotes his heart each day to sowing seeds of knowledge for underprivileged children.

The journey took over 3 hours, through roads, carts, and finally a small boat – all to reach this special classroom. No whiteboards, no fancy desks… only laughter, bright eyes, and an unyielding love for learning.

We delivered 28 meaningful gifts, including badminton rackets, ceiling fans, and school supplies – small tokens filled with big hopes.

Because happiness doesn’t come from luxury – it comes from sincere sharing.
